27 OCT – CBC PREM – Howarth stars again as Earl go 4 points clear as goals rained down – A Leon Howarth hat-trick helped Royal Earl come out on top of an 11 goal thriller with Oughtibridge WM on a day when the four CBC Premier games produced 33 goals. Earl took the lead with a Tom Bishop header and Alex Rippon doubed it with a shot he bent out of the keeper's reach. Oughtibridge pulled one back through Samer Alhaj, but Tyler Bradley restored Earl's two goal lead. Oughtibridge hit back again through Chas Tunnard and then levelled it with a Callum Simms strike. Earl went back in front through Bishop's second and it soon became 6-3 with two from Howarth. Oughtibridge again pulled one back with Tunnard's second, but Howarth settled any Earl nerves with his third to make the final score 7-4.

The two teams just behind Earl, Stannington Village and Joker Wickersley shared 8 of them in a 4-4 draw. Although it was Joker that had the early chances it was Stannington that took advantage of a poor clearance to go ahead against the run of play when Jack Haslam slid Brandon Bradbury through to finish well left footed. It was 2-0 when a free kick was spilled by the keeper and Aemad Gadour smashed the ball home. Joker got back into it just before half time with a James Hardeman goal, but the points looked to be going Stannington's way when Luca DeFalco crossed for Gadour to head his second and Joel Purkiss set up DeFalco to make it 4-1 from a tight angle. There was just 5 minutes left when sub Matt Claxton netted Joker's second and with just 2 minutes of stoppage time left Hardeman netted his second. Stannington still looked set for all 3 points until the last kick of the game equalise from a quality set piece by Sam Godfrey.

9 goals came as WB Sixers mainted their perfect home record with a 6-3 victory over Boynton Sports. First blood went to the visitors, but Sixers soon levelled through George Rudd and two minutes later went ahead with a Jordan Stocks penalty. Rob Farrell made it 3-1 on the half hour , but Boynton hit back to level before half-time. Sixers dominated the second half and after Matt Cowen had restored their lead, Danny Barnsley netted twice to make the points safe.

5 goals came as reigning champions Chapeltown RBL went fourth with a 4-1 victory over Eckington MW. Kenny Tafireyi opened the scoring with his first goal for RBL, seeing his well hit volley find the top corner after an Alex Mosley cross. Jay Carter beat the full back for pace and his perfect cross was converted for Tafireyi and Legion's second. Mosley intercepted in midfield and burst through carrying the ball for 30 yards before sliding past the oncoming goalkeeper and top scorer Carter added a fourth before half time after Luis Afonso-Ferreira crossed for him. Eckington manage to stop the rot after the break an eventually scored a consolation goal with a Joel Cousins header in the dying seconds of the game.

27 OCT – DIVISION 1 – Oliver sets up victory for Crookes and hat-tricks for Carty and Robinson sets up wins for Southey and Woodman  – Oliver McQuillin set up all his side's 5 goals as Crookes stayed top with 5-1 victory over AFC Wisewood. Although Crookes dominated from the start all they had to show for it at half time was a tenth minute goal by Louis Ballard after being set up by Oliver McQuillin. Wisewood had a good spell after half-time, but it was Crookes that struck again when Oliver set up his brother Lewis McQuillin to make it 2-0. Charlie Beachell pulled one back for Wisewood, but Louis Flynn netted a third for Crookes after being set up by Oliver, before then set up Ballard to net his second to make it 4-1. The scoring was completed when Matt Price added the fifth, but it was Oliver McQuillin that took the MOTM award after setting up all 5 goals.

Carlton Carty's hat-trick just saw Southey Social home, 3-2 against Cotts. After Carty had put one early chance over the bar, he didn't make the same mistake twice when he was given the chance from a Jack Hawkes cross. Cotts hit back and after stand-in keeper Todd Guest could only parry a shot, the rebound was put home by Ryan Simmonite. Southey were back in front before half-time though when Carty poked home. After the break Southey continued to press and Carty hit a post after rounding the keeper, but he was gifted his hat-trick goal when a Cotts defender deflected the ball past his own keeper and Carty had the simple task of tapping home. Cotts hit back and Matt Fells was first to a rebound to score and there was no further goals despite Southey being awarded a penalty which Hawkes smashed against the bar and the ball is thought to still be in orbit.

Kyle Robinson netted a hat-trick of penalties to help Woodman Intake to their first away win, 4-2 at Sheaf House. Their other came from Ali Algahamdi, with Sheaf's goals were both from Lestyn Jones. Mosborough Reds collected the 3 points after their hosts Brunsmeer failed to find a pitch to play their game and Nailmakers were also awarded the 3 points after their host failed to raise a team after suffering some late withdrawals beacuse of injuries.

27 OCT – DIVISION 2 – Hackenthorpe bitten by Sharks, but Centre spot on – Hackenthorpe's perfect start to the season was brought to an end with a 3-1 defeat at Baby Shark. After skiper Joe Lister had cleared off the line for Hackenthorpe, they went ahead when a slick 5 man move down the left ended with Leighton Sawyer setting up Callum Foster to swivel and beat the keeper. Shark had a chance to level, but the ball came back off the woodwork, before a terrific save by the Shark keeper stopped James Lindores from doubling Hackenthorpe's lead. It proved vital as Shark grabbed an equaliser before half-time with a Jack Appleyard shot from the edge of the area. The second half saw another great save by the Shark keeper stop Hackenthorpe from going back in front and instead it was Baby Shark that took the lead when Iren Wilson was brought down in the area and he picked himself up to score the penaly. Shark had more pressure after that and they clinched the points with a Reece Treasure strike.

Centre Spot remain with a 100% record after winning 4-0 at Thorncliffe Villa and are now 3 points clear at the top.  Villa's keeper did his best to keep the leaders at bay, but he could do nothing to stop Leon Clarke-Macdonald giving Spot the lead when they were awarded a penalty. The lead was doubled just before the break with a Harrison Coleman free-kick. The second half saw the Villa keeper again make several saves, but two more went past him from Jake Letherland and a James Nield-Smith rocket volley from outside the area.

Logan Liggins netted 4 as Loca climbed up to second with a 7-2 victory over Norton Oaks. A Curt Modest strike put Loca in the driving seat, but Oaks replied when Tom Blacksell set up Jordan Noble to score. Loca then brought Liggins off the bench and with almost his first touch he put them back in front before hitting his second before the break. With Jamie Goldenburgh pulling the strings in midfield, Loca added two more soon after the break from Mitch Carlton and Liggins and although Blacksell netted a second for Oaks from the penalty spot after he had been upended in the area, Liggins netted his fourth and, after setting up many of the earlier goals, skipper Will Eades added his name to the scoresheet to complete the scoring.

Wadsley just won a thriller at Chapeltown FC 4-3. Zak Cutts, Curtis Dennison, Luke Hancock and Gianni Raise gave Wadsley a four goal lead, but Chapeltown had had several chances cleared off the line and hit the woodwork 3 times. They finally got back into it with a scrappy Ben Smedley goal and this was followed by one each for Ben Rooth and Logan Hakes as Chapeltown almost completed a remarkable comeback.

Darnall Urban grabbed their first win of the season with a 2-1 victory over Ecclesfield Blues. Djarnal Otmani  for Darnal and Harry Brooker for Blues had the game level until another Otmani effort saw the Blues keeper fall backwards with the ball into his own goal for the winner.

They are joined by another 7 Blades Super Draw teams in the last 32.

One of them is Division 2 Hackenthorpe after keeper Tyler Crossland scored a wind assisted goal in their 4-0 win at Division 1 Brunsmeer. A highly competitive first half with Hackenthorpe playing against conditions  led at half time through a Leighton Sawyer, goal. The second half saw conditions get worse for Brunsmeer and Hackenthorpe pressed on giving them no space scoring further goals through Callum Foster, a goal from goalkeeper Tyler Crossland scoring from his own box and Jack Brear. Taylor Snowball came on as sub and despite his worst performance of the season, he may have got an assist, but according to his manager, he may as well have been stood on the side lines - please don't blame anyone but Jacob Harrison for this report.

A fifth Division 2 team through is AFC Centre Spot with Danny Junior adding two more to his impressive total in their 4-1 victory at Cross Keys Wath. Early goals for Liam Hannah and Junior saw Centre Spot camped in opponents half, but long ball over top, combined with a horrible bounce saw Keys pull one back. Sami Eric then scored his second with a free kick he bent round the wall from 30 yards to make it 4-0 at half time. Another Division One side to fall to a Division Two side was Mosborough Reds as Legue newcomers Loca came from behind to beat them 3-1. CBC Premier Boynton Sports twice let the lead slip and after a 2-2 draw they needed to win a penalty shoot-out against league newcomers AFC Centre Spot. Goals by Smajl Bytyci and Jake Bonnett were cancelled out by two Danny Junior strikes, but Boynton held their nerve to win 4-3 on penalties. Although  former holders Stannington Village also went through they were pushed all the way by another league newcomer, Baby Shark, before winning 3-2. Stanningtton got off to a flyer when Charlie Cope's corner was glanced in by Matt Reay and they doubled it when Luca DeFalco set Leo Higgins up for his first goal for the club.
